How it all began

👋 Hi, I’m Harriet, the founder of Hazaar, the UK’s first student marketplace. Our mission is to make circular consumption accessible and affordable for university students.

We’re creating a platform that helps students save money, reduce waste, and make more sustainable choices—while also supporting brands and universities in making a real impact.

My passion for sustainability began during my time as a student when I noticed how often my peers would Amazon Prime outfits for sports nights, only to wear them once. It felt wasteful and unnecessary, and I wanted to create a solution—a marketplace that made circular consumption affordable, accessible, and cool. Hazaar is that solution, and it’s a mission that’s very close to my heart.

Harriet Noy

Founder & CEO

Harriet founded Hazaar during her second year at University of Birmingham, and is passionate about sustainability, entrepreneurship and providing opportunities for as many young people as we can!

Anna Martinez

Operations Lead

Anna is an experienced operations manager and is helping to take Hazaar's digital platforms to the next level. She can wear many hats & keep projects running smoothly, helping everyone deliver their best work.

Orla McGagh

Brand Manager

As Brand Manager at Hazaar, Orla leads the development and execution of brand strategy, fostering the growth of Hazaar and strengthening our presence amongst the student audience. She is dedicated to building meaningful partnerships with like-minded brands, ensuring Hazaar continues to innovate and lead in sustainable solutions.

Emma Van Breemen

Events and Activation Manager

Emma leads our Events and Activations across all UK universities, bringing creativity and passion to every project. She designs engaging activities that resonate with students, encouraging participation and new perspectives on sustainability, ensuring each event leaves a lasting impression on the community and the marketplaces.

Sam Cattle

Sales & Partnerships

Sam is our partnership man! He is focused on building meaningful relationships with fashion brands to support them in reaching the student market. Sam also works on attaining Hazaar’s Corporate sponsors, who are powering ‘Hazaar local’ to universities in the UK. FUN FACT - Sam was Hazaar’s first ever intern, and has been full time since leaving university in 2024.

Lucas Graeff Buhl-Nielsen

Full stack developer

Lucas is a well-rounded full-stack developer with an eye for design and a mind for implementation. He also has a keen business sense and is able to really get in the shoes of our students and propose great ideas for Hazaar
